The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea announced that ‘Story of Drugs in My Body’ will be published for multicultural families to celebrate 7th together day (a national memorial day for people in various ethnic groups and cultures to understand each other and coexist in a multicultural society) on 20 May.

‘Story of Drugs in My Body’ includes the information about the safety of medicine in Korean, English, Chinese, and Vietnamese on one side. This brochure contained ▲ directions for the use of medicine ▲ being careful about medicine ▲the medicine that teenagers should know.

The section of ‘Directions for the use of medicine’ explains how to read the instructions of medicine and how to store the medicine and ‘being careful about medicine’ introduces how to get the information about medicine and the side effects. Also, ‘the medicine that teenagers should know’ gives specific information and symptoms of medicine which is for losing weight and getting smarter.

According to Chung-Cheong News, Lee Dong-hee, the manager in division of Pharmaceutical Policy, Pharmaceutical Safety Bureau, The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, said that it will be helpful for multicultural families to use medicine safely through this ‘Story of Drugs in My Body’. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will distribute this brochure to 230 Multicultural Family Support Centers, national public libraries, and Immigrant Support Centers.
