APCEIU has completed the 2014 Korea-UK·USA·Australia Teacher Exchange Programme. Ending on July 24th, this teacher exchange programme with foreign schools had five countries participating with forty-four teachers (fifteen from UK, nineteen from USA, and ten from Australia) in total.

Teachers from the three countries participated in the orientation from the 1st to 3rd of July. Then for the next three weeks, they were dispatched to 43 schools in Seoul, Busan, Gyeonggi, Incheon and other locations. In each school, they taught their subjects of expertise, including social science, mathematics, science, physical education, and also introduced their own cultures to the students. As a result, the visibility of the project expanded through media coverage.

The participants of the UK·USA programme, now in its fourth year after its establishment in 2011, and the Australia programme, which started in 2013 (now in its second year), were matched with the Korean teachers who were dispatched to their countries. The forty-four Korean teachers dispatched to the UK, USA, and Australia in the second half of 2013 proceeded to communicate with the foreign teachers who were invited to their schools. Hereby affiliated schools can now interact with one another to encourage the building of a mutually beneficial education exchange model.

The project, a short-term exchange that happens during the summer vacations of participating countries, started in 2011. In the first half of this year, fifty-seven teachers from five countries, including the USA, Russia, Singapore, UK, and Australia, were invited.
